Carambola Closes

Carambola in Dresher closed it's doors after dinner on Saturday evening. It had opened in October 1997 by owner Danny Nejberger. He said rising gas prices starting last summer shrank his customer base and commodity prices rose. His lunch business fell 40 percent after layoffs at local business parks followed by dinner declining as much as 40 percent. He was unable to sustain the loses anymore.

    There is a sign posted on their door that they are re-opening soon. No date and no other information. What a shame, it was one of the few local places that was consistently good. I hope they do re-open, they will be missed!
