Free events this weekend at the Little Treehouse

We're delighted to be able to let you know about a couple of great events at The Little Treehouse this weekend brought to us by local Philadelphia talent. Both are free with admission, and remember, if you stay for dinner in their new restaurant, there is no admission fee after 5pm.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 5TH AT 5PM: ENCHANTED STORY TIME: HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON BY CROCKETT JOHNSON PERFORMED BY ENCHANTMENT THEATRE COMPANY

The Little Treehouse will partner with Enchantment Theatre Company for a story-style presentation from their stage show Harold & The Purple Crayon, which will be playing at The Prince Theater December 2 through January 3.

Sip some hot chocolate, but don't get tucked in too tight... this is story-time Enchantment-style! Featuring silly puppets and lively audience participation, this imaginative telling of Harold and the Purple Crayon puts YOU in the center of the story. Let your imagination run wild as you draw along with Harold and watch your drawings come to life! Story Time will be immediately followed by a hands-on crafts activity.

COME ENJOY THE PERFORMANCE AND THE CRAFT AND STAY FOR DINNER! IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO ALREADY, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR OFFER OF A FREE PIZZA WITH THE PURCHASE OF A KIDS MEAL IN OUR NEW RESTAURANT

If you enjoyed the short version of Harold and the Purple Crayon, why not go see the stage show? A special discount of $2 per ticket is available for Little Treehouse customers. For tickets call 215 893 1999 and mention the following promotional code: LTH09, or visit the Enchantment Theater Company website: www.enchantmenttheatre.org.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 6TH, 5PM: READING BY LOCAL CHILDRENS AUTHOR, MELISSA CONROY FROM HER RECENTLY PUBLISHED BOOK, POPPY’S PANTS.

Poppy’s Pants centers around a group of doll characters, who you and your children will meet when Melissa Conroy reads from this enchanting story . “When I first started making dolls, I discovered that half the fun of it was giving each a story” she says. “I feel as though a doll is not finished until I write up a personality description for it. I knew my dolls could become characters in a book, and I just had to find out what direction the book would take”. Come meet Penelope, a big-hearted doll who mends a hole in her grandfather’s khakis, and hear her tale. You and your children are sure to be delighted

TUESDAY DECEMBER 8TH, 4PM: FREE WALDORF CRAFT

We'd also like to remind you about this event (free with admission) Please note that we can only accommodate 15 children for this activity, so you may wish to call or e-mail to reserve a spot.

And finally, join us in Decmenber for these weekly fun events--both free with admission:
