A.C. Moore opening in Willow Grove soon

I was just in the shopping center at Easton Road and 611 (where Barnes and Noble, and Marshalls are) and noticed a new A.C. Moore opening up soon. Not sure how exciting this is considering we have a Michaels across the street, but I guess a little friendly competition never hurt anyone! Opening soon!

West Ave Grill opening in Dresher!!!

Word from a very reliable source told me last night that the West Avenue Grill is opening another location in the current Carambola spot in the Dreshertown Shopping Center.

People -- this is big news! We will actually have a breakfast spot in Upper Dublin! Woo hoo! I personally have never been to the West Avenue Grill in Jenkintown but I hear it is very good (especially the french toast with caramelized bananas. Yum!) The menu looks awesome with plenty of items to appease any eater, and I love that there is a kids menu! They also serve breakfast and lunch all day. Yes! Stay tuned for more details on when it will be opening, but preliminarily we hear they are trying to open within the next couple of months.

Makeup!!

Today I endulged myself and I wanted to share my dirty little secret with you...

CITRUS salon and day spa in Blue Bell www.citrussalonspa.com has this AWESOME special going on: right now through November 23rd get a free makeup lesson from the ever fabulous Melissa. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with Melissa's fantastic makeup application and waxing, she is one of those kinds of people that you meet for the first time and ten minutes later you feel like you've known her forever and are inviting her to girls night out....) I don't know about you ladies out there but I never had someone "teach" me how to do my eyes with lots of products and fabulous colors, especially for evenings out. I have been dying to get a lesson for ages but never found the time. Today was definitely the time since the makeup lesson was complimentary- no kidding! I learned all kinds of things about makeup application, brushes, colors, tricks and more!

Citrus has a rewards program that is similar to the credit card reward programs....spend a certain amount and acrue points that can be used towards future purchases and services. Today I received all kinds of points for the products I ended up buying (I could not resist spicing up my product collection and adding some terrific fall colors) and even booking my next makeup appointment.

Though I didn't have any time to check out Therapy, the rumored AMAZING retail boutique attached to Citrus, next time I will be sure to save some time to browse a bit. I have heard from many ladies it's a great find.

Check out Citrus, and be sure to tell them that Jodi Hallen (aka Joy) sent you....I get referral points :-)

Mom's Night Out Shopping Event for a good cause (and you can bring the kids!)

I recently went to Bounce U in Horsham (which is great! See Joy's review about it from a few weeks ago!). The owner is hosting an event to benefit the Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation (a wonderful organization developed to aid parents of young children who tragically or unexpectedly lose a spouse).

It's Thursday, November 5th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at BounceU, 420 Babylon Road, Horsham

A $5 donation is requested at the door. Bring your kids to bounce while you shop for just $5 per bouncer! (Half off the regular price!)

Sponsored by bucksmontmom.com & BounceU

For more info, call BounceU at 215-674-8644 or send an email to info@bucksmontmom.com. I am definitely going to try to go to support this great cause!

Finally went to The Sweater Mill

Fellow Blogger "Joy" has been telling me about the Sweater Mill for awhile now, and I finally got the chance to stop in over the weekend. What a great find! The store has both women's and men's clothing and accessories and many designer labels (that you find at more expensive stores) for much less.

I picked up three new (awesome) shirts that were all around $30, but were retail priced around $50-60. You can't beat that!

Definitely worth checking this store out! (And while you are there, you can walk around downtown Hatboro, pick up some flowers and fruit from Produce Junction, grab some lunch or soft pretzels, and have a nice afternoon!)

Bounce U opened in Horsham

We took the kids to Bounce U today in Horsham. They are located in the same complex as Kids U but the entrance is off of Babylon Road. We had to drive around for a bit to find our way to their parking lot.

They started doing their birthday parties and from what we could tell they were eager to please! The place is very clean- its all brand new. Nicely painted walls, carpeting, fixtures...and friendly staff! We had called there ahead of time to make sure there was open bounce time and we were given a reservation time.

They make you watch a 2 minute video before you bounce showing you the rules and what is not acceptable "play" (pushing, going down slides head first, no shoes or barefeet permitted, etc). While we thought it was important to review the rules with both parents and children, we found the fact that they make you watch it before a little much. The kids were too excited to head in to really pay much attention.

We went into two different rooms, each room we were in we were there for about 25 minutes- the first had four different bounce/climbing/slide "rides" and the kids loved it. The second room had more of the same (4 different climbing/slides). The young woman who worked there was sweet and great with the kids. Because they had just opened and did not have their official grand opening event (scheduled for 10/31), we were the only ones there and therefore had the entire bounce experience to ourselves!

We had a very good experience and will definitely be going back! If you decide to head there, be sure to call ahead to find out their open bounce times, which changes daily. They have play date times throughout the week days and evenings. Don't forget to bring socks too!

Montgomery Mall Train Ride is AWESOME

We went to the Montgomery mall today and we were so excited to find out about the new mall attraction...the cho cho train ride! The train, which is run by a very sweet lady, takes kids (and adults if you must....) around the perimeter of the first floor. Every now and again the train cho chos and the kids LOVE it!

The train is there permanently and can be located by the elevators on the first floor. Enjoy!

Michael Vick moving to Horsham?!

Word has it that Michael Vick is moving to town.

Right now it is all rumor and I can't find anything to confirm it online, but lots of people have been discussing that Vick bought a house in Horsham. It's apparently a new house on Limekiln Pike by Babylon Road.

I was at the Horsham post office yesterday and they also said they heard Vick was moving to town. I guess time will tell.

Interesting. Very interesting.

The Melting Pot in Warrington is now open!

I am a big Melting Pot fan. Cheese? Chocolate? Yes, please!

Anyway, I had no idea that they were opening a location in Warrington, but low and behold, one appears! Apparently this is the location that was originally in Chestnut Hill and they moved to Warrington.

If you sign up for Club Fondue you get some special offers (and a coupon, I think).
